Regina Saskatchewan

Arts and Culture

A city with a population of around 200,000 is often considered a bedroom community for a larger centre and often these communities rely on the larger cities to be the hub of arts and culture activity.  This is not the case in Saskatchewan - and Regina, the province’s capital city, is exceptional.  One only needs to explore the museums, the galleries, the festivals, the restaurants, the music scene, the cultural events - and you will discover a diverse and vibrant community.

Relative to its size, Regina has a bustling arts and cultural scene.  The city is home to some of the finest museums, arts galleries, live theatres, orchestras, and other cultural activities.  Impacted by the availability of disposable income, the market continues to grow and larger events have taken advantage of the many venues to participate in the burgeoning Regina arts and culture market.  Regina offers a wealth of things to see and do too numerous to describe in detail here.

To name just a few, Regina is home to the Royal Saskatchewan Museum, the Conexus Arts Centre, the Globe Theatre, the Regina Symphony Orchestra, the RCMP Heritage Centre, IPSCO Place (formerly Regina Exhibition Park), Casino Regina, the MacKenzie Art Gallery, numerous golf courses, and the exceptional Wascana Centre – a 2,400 acre park and outdoor playground in the heart of the city.
