About RREDA

Founded in 1989 as The Regina Economic Development Authority, the name was officially changed to The Regina Regional Economic Development Authority to reflect its association with the surrounding communities and rural municipalities; our Regional Partners.

The Regina Regional Economic Development Authority (RREDA) is an independent body created by City Council and is governed by a Board of Directors.

RREDA has a mandate to encourage economic growth and diversification, to bring together business ideas and opportunities, and to promote a positive image of the Regina region as an attractive place to live, to work, and to do business.

RREDA actively promotes economic initiatives to help create investment opportunities and employment in the Regina region by supporting existing business and encouraging new companies to become resident here.

In fulfilling this mandate, the Authority develops, maintains and implements an economic development strategy for the Regina region; provides market information for business, industry and investors; undertakes research; provides site location assistance; participates in trade missions; liaises with federal and provincial economic development and trade offices; and, liaises with local municipal departments affecting business.
